What's Have the Craic?
Have The Craic is a new and exciting website that gives people the chance to meet each other and have fun. So if you are looking for new things to do then sign up and become a member. It's as easy to join as a social club. You will meet new people and your social life will improve without a doubt.
Events and Activities:
We run a range of events that suit all different types of people and age groups from pub quizes to golf lessons, theatre nights to paintballing to give you the opportunity to meet people. If there is something that you are interested in trying and it is not on the site then please let me know and we will do our best to find and add it for you. We are always open to finding new things to do.
The Craic kicked off:
We started the website in June 2009 and we have a growing membership. You can meet each other in person at one of our events or chat online.
Who's behind the Craic?
My name is Elaine Walsh. I've a long track record in organising and planning events, parties and holidays for friends. I love meeting people. I also love introducing people. When I moved home from New Zealand two years ago I found it difficult to find new friends outside my work environment. There seemed to be lots of dating events but nothing that I could go to and meet new people just to build a social circle. Talking to friends and family I realised that there were other people in a similar situation to me. I wanted to find new friends but I didn't want to join a golf club or a tennis club. I wanted to try different activities and meet people. I tried Speed Dating which was a lot of fun but it obviously focussed on dating which was great but not what I wanted. And so after alot of consideration I decided to start Have the Craic. It's a social club that meets on a regular basis. We have a wide variety of events and activities to appeal to different people with different tastes. What I love about Have the Craic is meeting the members. You make each event different and fun by just turning up. I am always delighted to meet such sound people. The more members I meet the more I know that I made the right decision starting Have the Craic and I can't wait for the next event.
Corporates can Have the Craic
Have the Craic also runs events for corporate entertainment for all sizes of businesses. Many small companies don't get a chance to get out together but with Have the Craic they can join one of our evenings and join in the fun with everyone else while still getting to spend time together. Have the Craic also runs evenings or day out of the office for bigger companies.
